With the release of iPad in US today, Skype is planning to release its popular messenger built specifically for this hardware. Since the iPad was made available today only, the Skype team could not test their existing application on this Hardware if it is working fine. Some users who have got their hands on iPad today like some journalists have reported that Skype’s messenger application works perfectly fine on the iPad. However Skype still wants to test it out themselves on the iPad Hardware. As mentioned on the official Skype blog:
You can expect to hear more from us about an iPad app in the coming months as we now have our hands on actual iPads and can start tuning and testing.
I think like its iPhone version, Skype for iPad will also add a lot of value to already amazing features list of iPad. We look forward to a great Skype experience on the iPad.
