Guidelines for Guest Authors
- Original Content: The content which you publish on ShoutingWords should be original (your own work) and should not be published anywhere else before.
- Credit: ShoutingWords respects intellectual rights. Hence while publishing articles for ShoutingWords, it must be ensured that you are providing credit to the person whose work or idea you are using. This includes images, videos and ideas from other sources.
- No Piracy: Anything which advocates piracy or which promotes piracy will not be entertained on ShoutingWords. If you are posting software reviews, please make sure that you do not post any download link of pirated software. Violation of this would lead to permanent ban without any notice.
- Post Formatting: We take special care while formatting posts and same is applicable for every author writing for ShoutingWords. Content should be arranged in such a way that it is readable for the readers.
- Images / Screenshots: Like we say, numbers speak louder than words. This same statement is applicable for images and screenshots as well. Images add a lot to your posts, they help the reader to understand the subject easily and add beauty to your writing. We appreciate use of images and screenshots in posts and hence we ask you to supplement your writing with right images and screenshots.
- No Self Promotion: We already provide enough exposure to the author in the form of a post byline at the beginning of the post and an author profile at the end. So don’t add anything for self promotion or promotion of any kind.
- No Affiliate Links: We understand that one of the goal of writing for ShoutingWords is making money because of which we have provided revenue sharing program where you can add your Adsense account and can earn with the ads displayed with your posts. Therefore do not add any affiliate links in your posts.
- Comments: Comments are the medium to interact with your readers. Please respond to your readers through comments and try to answer their queries by replying to their comments.
